From the initial client meeting through occupancy, ABACUS’ specialists in programming, space planning and interior design work with our clients to identify their design goals, schedule requirements and budgetary parameters, and develop a design that is sensitive to the individual considerations and needs.

The work of ABACUS’ engineering studio is marked by innovation directed toward overcoming the physical limitations of sites and meeting the particular requirements of each project. Project And Construction Management

Project and Construction Management are areas of strong expertise for ABACUS. We have developed methods and procedures to efficiently control the schedule, costs and quality of a project, while communicating a project’s status and outlook. ABACUS assists public and private entities by applying the latest management techniques for the planning, design, and construction of a project.

ABACUS services allow clients to focus on their core objectives. Our team includes professionals from a variety of disciplines: Construction Managers; Architects; Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers; Estimators; Schedulers; Permitting, Project Controls, and Safety Specialists; and, Construction Contract Administrators.

Preparation of Templates / Forms of Work

According to the needs of different companies in Puerto Rico related to the construction, design engineering and architecture, our firm participated in these efforts to achieve the restoration of thousands of homes severely devastated by the hurricane María.

Our firm strives to prepare the necessary forms that can identify the conditions, needs and solutions aimed at obtaining the goals and objectives of the Municipality. Forms used to represent the job templates, which in turn, will create and nourish a database covering different aspects related to the participant, data and GIS information (coordinates, address, photos and) other) structures.

Preparation of Damage Cost Estimates of Structures

Specifically we have participated in the efforts of the preparation of a significant amount of estimated coststhrough different municipalities and public agencies. (See Reference document 1)

“BIDS” and relevant processes

The Company offers services of preparation of “BIDS” and their processes: management, coordination, preparation of documents, including technical and general specifications.

According to expertise, the Firm will provide advice and applicable regulations, in addition to actively participate in each of the processes, including the evaluation of proposals in coordination with the Municipality. (See Reference document 2).

Permits process

Over the years, the company carries out different types and procedures permit for the purposes of the applicable regulatory compliance for the zoning, construction and use of different residential, commercial, recreational and others structures.

The firm carries out from the initial process or transaction of the permits required through the knowledge and management of the System of the OGPE and their after-care until obtaining the permit or license in question.

The Company works the environmental licenses such as Categorical Exclusions, REA’s, EA, Plan CES, Asbestos and Lead among others requiring in Puerto Rico (JCA, DRNA, SHPO and others) and the Federal regulatory agencies ( FEMA, EPA, and others).
